The performance of
solid lubricated bearings in extreme environments mainly depends on their design, material selection and manufacturing process. The following are some performance performances of solid lubricated bearings in high temperature, low temperature and high humidity environments:
Performance in high temperature environment:
High temperature resistance: Solid lubricated bearings usually use special high temperature resistant materials, such as graphite copper sleeves. These materials can maintain stable performance under high temperature conditions. For example, graphite copper sleeves have good high temperature resistance and can be used in heavy loads, low speeds, reciprocating or swinging situations where lubrication and oil film formation are difficult.
Self-lubricating ability: In high-temperature environments, traditional lubricating grease may become thinner or even decompose, while the self-lubricating ability of solid lubricated bearings can reduce dependence on external lubricants and maintain good operation of the bearings.
Creep resistance and oxidation resistance: At high temperatures, bearing materials need to have good creep resistance and oxidation resistance to prevent material performance degradation and structural damage.
Performance in low temperature environment:
Ultra-low temperature bearings: Some solid lubricated bearings are designed to work at extremely low temperatures, such as bearings used in ultra-low temperature liquid pumps such as liquid nitrogen pumps and liquefied gas pumps. These bearings can operate in a temperature range of -60°C to -196°C.
Maintain lubrication performance: Under low temperature conditions, the lubrication performance of solid lubricated bearings is usually not affected because they use solid lubricants, such as PTFE or graphite, and these materials can still maintain good lubrication effects at low temperatures.
Anti-brittleness: In low temperature environments, materials tend to become brittle. The material selection and processing technology of solid lubricated bearings need to ensure that the bearings still have sufficient toughness and impact resistance at low temperatures.
Performance in high humidity environment:
Corrosion resistance: In high-humidity environments, the materials of solid lubricated bearings need to have good corrosion resistance to prevent corrosion and material degradation caused by moisture.
Waterproof performance: The design of solid lubricated bearings takes waterproof performance into consideration to prevent water and moisture from entering the inside of the bearing and affecting the performance of the lubricant.
Anti-adhesion: Bearings may experience adhesion problems in high-humidity environments. The self-lubricating material of solid lubricated bearings should have good anti-adhesion properties to reduce friction and wear.
In general, the performance of solid lubricated bearings produced by Mingxu in extreme environments depends on the adaptability of their design and materials. By choosing the right materials and designs, Mingxu bearings can provide reliable performance under extreme working conditions such as high temperature, low temperature and high humidity.
